It's a nickelback lyric and the way they sing it, they say each day's a gift
i just wanted t know if day's should be spelt days or day's
i am getting this as a tattoo and i want to make 100% certain since it is going to be permanent.
Or should it really be ~~day is~~

The apostrophe shows a place where some letters have been omitted when two words are mashed together.

Let's = Let us (the "u" is gone)
Haven't = Have not (the "o" is gone.)
Can't = Can not (the letters "no" are gone)
It's = It is (the "i" is gone)

Each day's a gift = Each day is a gift.

Why don't you try a temporary tattoo, first?
