Daylight savings

Is the hour change referred to as daylight savings? Is the first sentence correct and is it the correct way to say it?
Daylight saving time is two weeks earlier in the USA than Europe. Daylight saving is at the beginning of March in USA and at the end of March in Europe.
Thanks

Can you tell me how to use 'daylight saving time' in a sentence?

Is daylight saving time something we do or a time of year?

Thanks
