"Day One" or "day one"

When writing out the expression "day one" is it capitalized or lower case? Example: "We were involved from Day One in this."
Thanks.

Tht would be my reaction as well. It might not be understood in lower-case.

I'd go for upper: there's only one Day One, it's a title.

But if you said "the first day", you would use lower case.

Day one just means from the beginning, would you capitilize beginning?

No, but I would capitalize "One" in that sentence. However, there are times that a preacher would capitalize "Beginning" because he is referring to a specific thing: "In the Beginning..."
