Question

Hi ya'all!Now it's time for some crazy eerie David Lynch stuff. I'm making subtitles for this documentary, and have a few problems. This is what I hear:1. (from 02:33)But I need extra money to finish the film. So, I called Tony Velani in Washington D.C., where the AFI headquarters were then. Tony, bless his heart, came all the way up on the train, and I met him at the station, and he came over, and I showed him the film at ?!??????????????? And he, you know, really liked what he saw.2. (from 22:45)Al was head of the sound department. So, we had all the equipment that Al had at our disposal. And that included ???????? and microphones, and cabling, and, you know, all that.Any Lynch fans here?XXX

Phew, I've just finished making the script of that documentary. It's **** of a long story! There're some gaps left though. I do hope someone'd kindly help me out. The first two still stay unfilled as well, plus I think I probably misunderstood something at some points, didn't I?

He had those things in a heartbeat. This machine, you know, jumped to life and the paper was spit out, and he popped it ??????? to stapler and put it together, and we walked back ???? He was superfast on machines.

- You know, I was, uhm… Duh, I’ve got a lot of stories. I really remember well the very first night of shooting. I remember being up in the hayloft park.
- Right.
- And it was like… We’d set up a whole little set, and then there was the room with a couch. I remember ???????????? ready, you know.
- Right.

But even so, on that first day, it’s not quite as high as it eventually, you know, got. There’s just a little ??????? to the hair, but it was pretty high.

- He did. He used to wear all these different hats, trying kind of ??????? it up under his hat. And I remember my family never really knew him without that weird hair.

So they actually got finished almost like in a regular film (is this correct???), you know, fairly soon and professionally.

- We’d set it up for hours and hours, and lighted and stuff. See, I think that trying was really, uh, kind of a wonderful distortion, because it wasn’t really important how long something took, it was… What was important, it’s how it really looked and felt. And nobody was really pushing, because after a while, you know, they had to sort of like ????????? about this, right?
- Exactly right, Cath.
- We’d just got to keep going, and keep going and keep going.
- See, what I want to do is have the main… The look on Henry’s face, you know, that kind of he’s like so real, you just feel like he’s here anyway. The look on Henry’s face is where this thing is ready to cut, you know, the big cut. (????)

- And then, and then with his point of view of the scissors. Those are the ones, the point of view shots that are really important, okay? Those two are really important. And the opening up, we can do the third person and the cutting.
- ?????? one shot indoor, the very top of the list.
- So I’ve been shot with a 28, right?
- Right. Cut it.
- ????????

- Well, this is a 90 million years ends and I have a big slate. ?????

- And they were having this big fancy dinner up at the main house.
- That was the bed scene!
- Right. And we would ??????? in those tanks, and it was really, really cold outside.
- Yeah, Jack had a couple of lines about that.
- But we were going, driving back up and down that long driveway with these big Sparklett’s bottles, trying to get the water warm enough.
- Exactly.
- You had just run whole of this into the tanks, hadn’t you?

- But the thing… It was then… I think, one of the reasons why also it’s so ?????????? down by prejudice that so often we would then do again.

And he, you know, really liked what he saw.

About the first one, I had that guess, that it was Calvin Dufrasne, I just wasn't sure if there's a theater with this name in Pennsylvania. But let it be Calvin Dufrasne, anyway. Who cares?
