David and I went to the show.

John gave the box to David and me.

Both of these are incorrect:

David and me went to the show.

John gave the box to David and I.

If you want a really simple rule, you probably won't be wrong too often if you use David and I at the beginning of a sentence or clause and David and me everywhere els
