Daughter who reading

1. My mother is sketching her daughter reading 'Harry Potter7'. (This one I understand)

(My mother is sketching her daughter who is reading 'Harry Potter 7'.)

2. Alice is the daughter reading 'Harry Potter 7'. (defining non-finite clause)

(Alice is the daughter who reads 'Harry Potter 7'.)

Can a defining non-finite clause be used the way of No.2?

Thank you very much indeed.
