Hi!

Have I written this sentence correctly?

They entered into marriage on the twenty-seventh of September, year two thousand and nine.

The word "year" would not normally be included. However, normally you just would write "27 September 2009". There would have to be some special reason for writing it as you have done.

Not only what GPY wrote but, how to write and pronounce dates depends on which English you speak. It will be different in American English.
