dashes in relative pronouns

hi!

my question is about relative clauses. can dashes (—) be used in them?

i'm writing an essay and in one of the sentences i'm thinking about using them, but i don't know if it's grammatically correct.

SOCHUM—which stands for Social, Humanitarian, and Culture Committee—is a forum for UN Member States to discuss social, humanitarian, (...).

if the dashes can't be used, what can i use and avoid being repetitive with the commas?

thank u
