my question is about relative clauses. can dashes (—) be used in them?
i'm writing an essay and in one of the sentences i'm thinking about using them, but i don't know if it's grammatically correct.
SOCHUM—which stands for Social, Humanitarian, and Culture Committee—is a forum for UN Member States to discuss social, humanitarian, (...).
if the dashes can't be used, what can i use and avoid being repetitive with the commas?
