DANCE OR DANCING??

Hi all,

What is the basic difference between:

1. I like dancing.
and
2. I like to dance.

Maybe a look here would be helpful I love "singing" vs. "to sing" Basically, I like + -ing refers to an activity you like in general. You would use "I like to + V" with precisions that make it more particular ("I like to dance on the beach at midnight")
