Dana works security at the library bell.

Hi,
Barney, Ted and a security guard of the library bell have a conversation.

Barney: did you hear that. Ted? Dana works security at the library bell.

Security guard: I do okay.

"Works security" this structure is new to me . Shouldn't it be " works as a security?

It's possible that you've mistranscribed the conversation. Can you provide a YouTube link to it, and point out the part where that conversation occurs?

'liberty bill' doesn't make a lot of sense either. Now you've changed 'bell' to 'bill'.

Anyway, 'works security' is casual speech for 'works as a security guard'. It's correct as it is.
