Cycle around

Hello everyone,

can anybody help me with this sentences structure and word choice.

A student of mine wrote: " He made the tour of Germany in cycling".

As we are not talking about The Tour de France, I was wondering how we could reformulate this.

My suggestions:

He cycle all over / all around Germany ?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, that is fine, or "He toured Germany by bicycle."
