Cv's to be checked over

dear friends

I translated these cv's to English but I am not sure of those in terms of grammer mistakes, usage of "articles" etc.

plese check over those for me.

Vermin Seranar (1)







Vermin Seranar was born in Istanbul in 1983. Her music education started as Associate Professor Ahmet Ermakastar’s clarinet student at the State Conservatory, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She kept her studies with Aysegül Kirmanoglu, Feza Çetin and Ebru Mine Sonakin respectively. She graduated from the State Conservatory, at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University with good degree.



In the course of her education, she served very actively in Cemal Resit Rey Symphony Orchestras, State Theatres and Bakirköy Municipality Theatres. She played Istemihan Taviloglu clarinet concerto as solo in company with State Symphony Orchestrate of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. On 18th of May in 2004, she has actively parted in Petko Radev’s master classes and Francis Touchara’s in 1999. She has been continuing Bass clarinet studies with Ebru Mine Sonakin since 2001.

Ozhan Gemici (2)



Ozhan Gemici was born in Istanbul in 1977. He started to music along to his secondary school years. He graduated from Turkish Music State Conservatory at ITU in 2005. He studied on solfage, harmony composition, instrument knowledge and orchestration with Nail Yavuzoglu; piano with Faris akarsu and Zeliha Bayirova; Turkish Music Theory with Yavuz Özüstün; Turkish Music Composition with Selahattin Içli; Ud with Professor Dr.Mutlu Torun; Tambour with Sadun Aksüt; “Diction and Prosody of Turkish Language”

Some works by him as follow:

Sonatina for the piano, Sonata Allegro for chamber orchestra, Nikriz Suit for the Kemanche* and Kanun*; a variation on “the theme of Yine Bir Gülnihal”; 2 nocturnes for the piano, compositions for a play named “This is a robbery”; variations on Turkish folk music for the orchestra; Classical Team at the Acemkurdi Makam, Ferahfeza Saz Semai at the style of Tambour Cemil Bey, Lied for kids, many compositions and arrangements on Folkloric Turkish Music and Classical Turkish Music. He is still working as arranger in the City Orchestra of Istanbul Metropolis Municipality

*Kanun: An instrument with seventy-two strings, which resembles harp.







Erkan Ocakoglu (3)





He was born in Izmir in 1977. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in . Musician who initiated his music life taking private guitar lessons in , after picking “Baglama and Singing” attended to Musa Eroglu Music Centre and received “Solfage and Baglama” education for one year.



In 2006, he graduated from the department of vocal training in TMDK at ITU where he enrolled in 2001. Along the school life, he received some classes like “singing technic” “West Style Music Solfage and its Theory”, and also “Style-Repertoire and Note Reading Techniques” in Turkish Folk Music from such precious teachers as Erol Uras, Ali Eral, Can Etili Ökten, Alaaddin Yavasça, Selahattin Içli. He took some private lessons on “Advance Playing techniques in Baglama and Shellpea” from Erol Parlak between years of 2004 and 2005, and also accompanied various bands and musicians with his baglama and also his vocal. The musician keeping working in musical areas, and being music teacher and is engaged in writing a book relating to his branch.
