CV writing

I have taken an English Academic Writing Class. And my teacher is not a native English speaker. He told us if we wanted to write a CV we should use phrase rather than sentence. Is he right? Because I have read some CV samples which have sentences in it. So I want someone to help me~ Thank you!

In the American style (I can't speak for other places), you don't use full sentences. Often, the lines are written as though they started with the pronoun "I" but omit the pronoun, and many articles.
