Could you please explain to me what "cut to" means in these contexts.

Hi Gary. I might be reffered, which I believe, to common idiomatic phrase "cut to the chase" which means "come to the point". At the excerpt you gave us it is the way to describe certain moments in the film.

I might be reffered, which I believe, to common idiomatic phrase "cut to the chase" which means "come to the point". At the excerpt you gave us it is the way to describe certain moments in the film.
cut to = jump to the particular point = rewind to the specified point.
