Cut the cheese

In the series, iCarly, an actress called Sam keeps saying phrases with "cheese". For example, cut the cheese or "no cheese".

Parhaps I didn't hear well, but what exactly do that mean?

Thanks. Emotion: wink

It's right.

dokterjokkebrokMaybe 'cheese' is a euphemism for a frequently used four-letter word
No. Not really. It may, however, be a substitute for "Geez", which itself is a fairly harmless substitute for the much stronger "Jesus". It is not used with "No",

Hi,

In my experience (but not in connection with me personally) the usage relating to the expulsion of intestinal gas is very common.

My friend,

I think it's a joke 'cause the expression "cut the cheese' means when someone make gas, e.g. if someone spealing gas with their *** so we can say (slang) someone cut the cheese and its a fault.

It's not a polite thing to do when other ones are present.

Imagine, you are in a elevator and someone "cut the cheese", so it's awful!
