Cut back in

Hello....

Suddenly, the bull cut back in our direction and began chasing us.

**********

Does the underlined part mean (A) change direction into our direction, or (B) reversed it’s direction into our direction?

The bull just changed its on-going direction or it reversed its direction, for example it was running into the opposite direction but suddenly about-faced and chased us?

Some dictionaries say “cut back in“ means reverse direction and some other dictionaries say it means “change direction”.

pructus Does the underlined part mean (A) change direction into our direction, or (B) reversed it’s direction into our direction? Change direction and mostly toward the rear ( = 'back') but it could well be at an acute angle.
