Customize your account settings [to only email you updates.]

I think maybe "it" should be "them/ those."
I know the verb "customize" takes only one object without any objective complement.
So I was wondering if "to only email you updates" is used as an adverbial phrase indicating the result of "customize it."
Thank you in advance for your help.
