Currently looked

Hi,

Can I write:
I learned that your school currently looked for a teacher.

or it should be:

I learned that your school currently looks for a teacher.

Thank

Hi. If the school still needs a teacher, the latter is correct, otherwise the former must be chosen, but currently should be omitted.

The use of 'learned' is rather awkward here, and so is the tense of 'look for' in both cases.

Although 'learned' is possible (depending on the context) a more natural sentence would be:

I have heard that your school is currently looking for a teacher.

Hope this helps.
