Curiosity and the library

-I asked a person a very random question in a sudden way. Is that okay if I said after her answer that, "just for my curiosity", or is there any other way that is more natural?

-I found that the library will be open tomorrow. Is this sentence correct? Can I replace found by realized? Which one is more common?

Thanks.
