Cumbersome wording

Hello everyone!

I've been trying to translate s short passage from a software promo text, but the original version is very "dense". This is my first draft:

"...
An integral part of the handling of all business transactions is their evaluation. In the [XYZ] Information System there are a wide range of standard reports that respond to what goods are purchased the most often, and by which customers, what sales are made each day, providing statistics on what customers demand, but do not purchase, etc. The information from these reports is very valuable for future planning of production or purchase.
..."

Now I see that "what goods" should probably be "which goods", right?

I'm not sure of the plural "are" before "a wide range" (which is singular, after all), but, in fact, the whole part after "respond" looks weird and unnatural. I'm not a native speaker of English, however, so I'm not sure how to tackle this...

Many thanks for any comments in advance!
