When you can prove there are diverse Native American cultures (300, each with different customs, languages, etc.), that is an argument against the idea of a single Native American culture. Because all of the cultural groups can be called Native Americans does not mean that they are one culture. Culture is defined here as customs, social structures, world views and languages. Therefore, since there are many proven differences in these factors, one cannot say that there is only one Native American culture. That diversity argues against the existence of a single culture.

Diversity of cultures might complement each other, but that is another idea than the one here.

When I read these words

I suddenly realized I missed something. Then I tracked back the original sentence, and I found "Before 1500 North American was inhabited by more than 300 cultural groups".

You know what, I mistakenly thought these 300 cultural groups were immigrated from all over the world, and complemented the single Native American culture. hehe. Now everything is clear.
