Cue and signal

Hi

Would you say that the underlined are essentially synonymous?

Can you please cue me when you want me to reply?
Can you please signal me when you want me to reply?

Thanks,

Tom

I would say "signal to me". "cue me" sounds more technical to me, as if there is a script or procedure that is being directed by someone. "signal to me" sounds more ad hoc.
