The boys crushed the empty cups under their feet.

Is "crushed" in the above equal to "crashed?" Thanks.

I've checked both crushed and crashed for so many times and still they're confusing because their meanings are really close.

I think both fit in this sentence without making any difference in meanings, but I need your confirmation.
