Crowded platform/trains, crowd/rush fades away

It would be rush between 3 pm. to 5 p.m. on trains but by 6.30 it gradally/slowly fades away. So I think around 7 p.m. if we set out for the journey would be perfect time to travel in a train.

It's very crowded on trains and platforms alike now, but I think if we wait for another half an hour the crowd/rush would be reduced/come to down/faded away and we can travel easily.

I don't like to get on/travel on crowded/packed train.

I can see even all platforms(train) are crowded.

It put me off as soon as I saw crowded platforms so I took a taxi and went off.

Please correct my sentences and suggest me better colloqual or common versions. Somehow I feel "fade away" is also a more of formal word.
