(Although I think what you posted is the left iron symbol. The right iron symbol would be facing the other direction.)

Could be the "correct" iron symbol. There are variations on the symbol with dots inside to indicate the recommended ironing temperature.

It could also be the symbol on the laundry tag sewn into the right-hand side of the dressing gown.
