Critically evalute the Essay

HI,

I have mention some details about India England Test match. Could you suggest where the essay can be improve further. Please ignore the exact runs, wickts mentoned below.

------

The start was delayed due to heavy rains overnight. Although, the rain had stopped in the morning, the outfield was wet and it was not suitable for playing. Heavy instruments are deployed to absorb the water, but it was not until 3.00pm before match could start.

India won the toss and elected to field first. India decided to take the full benefit of wet conditions and they got the breakthrough in very second over of Zahir, when Andrew Strauss was caught by Tendulkar in the first slip. Despite his batting 96 in drawn first test at Lords, his batting looked vulnerable outside the off stump. Next over the same story is repeated, the only difference was instead of Strauss, M Vaughan was in his place.

As England were struggling on 20/2, the batting sensation Peterson joined Alster Cook. England has very high hopes from his, looking at his recent tons against Indian at Lords. But the England Spectator’s hopes were dashed by R P Singh, when Peterson was given by lbw to RP Singh and England reeling on 28/3. Alster Cook was holding one side and he was taking runs at the right opportunity.

Than came Paul Collenwood. He along with Cook somewhat stabilized England’s inning. They played some excellent shots and made 100/3. On one delivery Kumble beat Collynwood and gave a simple catch to Dravid, who made no mistake this time. England were hoping that Ian Bell will remain unbeaten going into Second day, but with five over remaining he missed an inswinger from impressive Zaheers leaving England in a precarious position of 169/7.

Zaheer, along with other Indian bowlers was in a spectacular form today. It took 18 books for Cook to start his inning and dashing Peterson tool more than 10 deliveries to score his first run. The Indian bowling attack was very controlled and tight line and length. They did not give too many changes to England batsman. Zaheer took three wickets to reduce England at 169/7. India performance was pretty impressive, considering that fact that all these wickets fell in just two sessions.
