While it is true that providing education and profession training are effective methods to support lawbreakers, I would argue that the most efficient technique to deal with crime is incarcerating those individuals.

On the one hand, there are some undeniable benefits of education and occupation training. Firstly, thanks to being properly educated, criminals’ awareness might be dramatically raised. For example, they are provided understandings about legislations, rules and policies. This may encourage them to become more useful citizens. Secondly, training offenders carefully may equip them with vocational skills, which give them more job opportunities with high salary. Therefore, it could be easier for them to meet basic human needs and guarantee stable living standards. If those lawbreakers are not offered job training, they tend to reoffend such as burglary or shoplifting since they have obstacles making ends meet.

On the other hand, I believe that using prison sentence is the most effective way to reduce crime rate. First, it is a method to punish serious criminals. For example, drug dealers should receive life sentence. As a result, this kind of punishment can deter others from commiting crimes. If the authorities do not imprison offenders, they may have more tendency to break the laws. Additionally, it is undeniable that detaining criminals is an useful way to keep them from society. This could ensure safety for all citizens. If lawbreakers are free, every inhabitant might have to face more dangers.

In conclusion, while education and occupation training have some benefits, it seems to me that applying prison punishment is the most advantageous option.
