Crime is on the increase. Discuss this statement and offer possible solutions
As we compare the number of crimes commited in recent years with those commited much earlier we can obciously noteice that this number substantially soared up and now, in seems, is ever-increasing. As a result, prisons are overpacked, people are afraid of being robbed or of being victim of sexual harrasment.
One way to deal with the situation is to alter ineffective law preceipts that make some of the criminals do something with impunity. As a result criminals would be punished harder and with higher accordance to what they did. Why not consider death penalty for those who dared to comit murder?
Another solution to the abovementionet problem could be remodelling the whole system of police investigations. Some people tend to claim that there are too many police officers sitting behind their desks in comparison to those working more actively and sufficiently in the streets. There is huge likelihood that this type of action would result in a decreasing number of crimes.
As we should know a substantial number of crimes is closely connected with drug dealing, so steps in this field should be taken. The government should take action in order to legalize some types of drugs or at least to take control over it, therefore many crime groups or gangs wouldn't have the right of being, then they would give up and as as result the increase in crimes would be considerably slowed down.
To sum up there are several potential solutions to aforementioned problem, that could sucessfully diminish it. The clue is that we should delve into each case of crime individually due to recognise a backround of that kind of behaviour and then we would be able to establish what some crimes are sparked off by. Finally after intensive analysis we would know what else we can do to bring down increasing number of crimes
