It's been at least five years since I've had this account and I would really like an increase on my credit limit.

Or

It's been at least five years since I've opened this account and I would really like an increase on my credit limit.

Are both sentences ok?

But aside from that factor, would the sentences be understandable or useable in just a normal daily conversation?

If you insist:

Yes, they would be understood....

"since I opened" (not present perfect)

"it has" (many prefer to use the it's to be the contraction of 'it is')
