Hello, dear teachers! What is crazy quiting? Is it a kind of art? Is it used only in AmE? Or alsoin Britain and other English-speaking countries? Do you often use this word or it is a terminolody?? Help. Thank you. ))

You can read all about the hobby here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_quilting . My grandmother and great-grandmother were great crazy-quilters. My wife cannot operate a sewing machine.

"Crazy quilt" is a noun meaning "hodgepodge". It is not used much.
