Crackers

Please correct the following sentences, Thank you.

Come Diwali, uncle would give me bundles of sparklers, flowerpots, chakras and ladies’ special crackers. Once, when a misfired cracker burnt my fingers and holed up my new Diwali silk skirt, mom asked me to remain home. The throbbing pain I had on my fingers was less painful than my longing to go out and burst the remaining crackers. Fortunately, I had uncle by my side. He rushed home earlier and laughed at the big bandage I was having in my hand. “Hey, pretty,” he shouted at me. “Get into your feet. Buck up. Let us finish off the remaining crackers.” I got rejuvenated by uncle’s remarks and stood on my legs. We then burst out all the crackers in the bundle and made a bonfire of the smoldering remains of the burst out crackers. ‘A great day and a great man’, I thought.
