CPE WRITING PROPOSAL 2 - TOURISM - I NEED A FINAL FEEDBACK PLEASE

Current Situation



Regarded as one of the newest centers for ecotourism in Minas Gerais State, Carrancas stands for the countless attractions such as waterfalls, rock formations, observatories, canyons, trails and beautiful landscapes of savannah. However, after researching the current scenario, I, as a researcher for the Tourist Office, have to admit that some ideas must be implemented, in order to improve the amenities in the town and boost the town´s economy attracting not only local but also foreign visitors.



Recommendations



At first, I propose that some weekly tourist workshops should be run by citizenry so they will be able to see ecotourism as an opportunity to mend living conditions and make the quality of their families' life better. There are also some specific areas that should be paid special attention to by local authorities.



In an attempting to preserve natural landscapes that surround the town, some lands should be protected as a wildlife reserve, preserving the flora and fauna (there is also a rare species to be seen in the region) from extinction and it's essential to keep it under the biologists' supervision who can guide the tourists to the most remote spots.





An ecological fee must be collected from every tourist either local or foreign due to the fact that it is extremely important to maintain the infrastructure allowing receiving them. Under no circumstances should visitors pick any flower, touch, harm or feed any animal or affect anything that can lead to the damage of a primordial state of the nature. Only taking pictures should be allowed.



Conclusion

We must bear in mind that such initiative is aimed at developing an eco friendly concept through a sustainable economy in balance with the population and increasing income for the town.
