Letter Writing

Cover letter: revision

Dear all,

I am applying to a new job and I am really keen to get this position. Hence, I putting all my efforts on a very well written cover letter. Can you please review it and comment it? Thanks in advance.

Dear <sir>
The <position>, as <company> describes it, inspires me. Seldom, one can feel such inspiration from a ‘simple' job description. This is the first reason why I am applying.
Secondly, it is rather easy to imagine myself as the person you are looking for, basically because I have the required skills and competence and, in addition, I am strongly committed towards excellence in design. Moreover, I am really keen to design within the medical field and experience the sensation of truly help people!
I would like to highlight some positive aspects on my application, as follow:
a. broad scope of work experience - during the last few years, I designed and developed products from furniture to military equipment, considering both the design point of view and the engineer point of view. Such experience provided me the ability to better understand the realm of a project and to easily tackle the key factors.
b. a deep knowledge of creative methods/processes and its application into project tasks, sponsoring creative environments and innovative behaviors. Creativity is the key to the success of a design.
c. experience following products from ideation to serial production including project management, relations with customers and suppliers, as well as documentation.
d. international experience as design team leader, taking advantage of the so called "medicci effect".

In addition to the attached Cover letter, CV and portfolio, please look at <weblink>for a deeper understanding of my background.
I will appreciate the opportunity of an interview to better expose my arguements as well as some confidential aspects of some projects on my portfolio.
Please contact me for any further information you might require. I look forward for your reply.
Best regards,
JP
