Cover letter. I really need your help.

I'm an international student in the UK and this is my cover letter. Please correct it and post your suggestions how to impove it, if you like. Your help is much appreciated.

To whom it may concern,

Having seen your advertisment on the Job Link vacancy database, I would like to apply for a position of a catering assistant. I have enclosed my CV for your consideration.

I am currently in the first year of a BSc Biology degree, and would like to work part-time as to expand my university experiences, become more independent, and support my studies.

I believe I am a suitable candidate, for I have a four-summer work experience as a waitress. These four years made me very flexible, as apart from waitressing, my duties were very broad – from making light meals to cleaning goldfish ponds. The experiences of working long hours under the pressure of a high volume of customers, handling heavy goods, dealing wish stock shortage, and training recruiters taught me the value and the responsibility of the teamwork. It will help me to fit in your work environment in no time.
