Cover letter, help!
Hello!
I've just finished writing my motivation/cover letter for a PhD position at a research institution in London.
Any suggestions, comments, improvements, critiques, corrections (grammatical errors, or any misplaced words like 'the' and 'your' here and there) are highly appreciated.
here's the letter:
"My name is ..... and I am a PhD student enrolled at the Law and Sociology Program of the University xxxxxxx under the supervision of Dr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have been studying the inclusion and participation of disabled people in the labor market in (country).
I am writing you because my advisor and I intend to compare good practices in terms of inclusive labor of disabled people in the labor market of (country) with those found in the city of London. Therefore, we intend to apply for a scholarship from the (country) government. This program aim to qualify high-level human resources through the granting quotas sandwich PhD scholarships, was created to fund and to encourage Brazilian scientists, to gain experience abroad in institutions and laboratories of academic excellence.
I have read several of the selected publications listed in your website and I am very interested in your research area. Hence, I would like to ask you about the possibility of accept me as a one year interchange doctorate student, supervising me in the college. I have attached my CV for your appreciation.
Finally, I would like to say that the (country) government would cover all my living and travel expenses, as well as health insurance.
The first step to earn such fellowship is to get into contact with an eligible advisor (supervisor) and to be accepted to work together by one year.
If accepted, I would be able to start the project between July and September 2015.
The experience with your research team in the city of London is gonna be indispensable to the best of my PHD course bringing experience abroad and developement to (country).

I have never heard of a sandwich scholarship. Do you mean short-term (limited-term) scholarship?
