I am writing to apply for the PhD within the ................University.

After 5 years of valuable and challenging training, including the preparatory school where I improved my English considerably, I graduated on June .....with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from ...... University and now I am a graduate student of .....................department at ......... I am about to receive my M.S degree in ........... Detailed information about my academic sheet is attached to this statement.

The reason why I am applying to ........ University for PhD is that I am particularly interested in polymer synthesis, characterization and polymers used as biomedical materials. Through my studies at ............., I gained extensive knowledge about polymers such as synthesis, characterization and processing. Apart from these, extensive use of FTIR, ATIR-FTIR for spectroscopic measurements, particle size analyzer for rhelogical characterization, DSC and DTA for thermal analysis, tensile, compression, impact and creep tests for mechanical analysis has made me familiar with these instruments.
