I am from Pakistan and completed my Masters of Sciences in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from XYZ University in 2014. The two-year intensive program in Epidemiology gave me the opportunity to integrate theory into practice and gain deeper insight into public health problems and the risk factors of diseases. In my Master’s thesis, I studied the association between childhood anemia and the multiple neighborhood, household, and individual level factors and found striking findings. During my graduate training, apart from various courses in Epidemiology, I also learned and applied many statistical courses, such as Linear & Logistic Regression, Survival Analysis, ANOVA, etc. I learned and applied multilevel modeling techniques in my thesis project on my own even though it was not part of the master’s course.

Overall, I have more than 8 years of experience in public health, epidemiology, immunization, and disease surveillance. To leverage my experience and skills I am eager to embark on another exciting yet challenging journey of doctoral studies in Epidemiology. The PhD study will give me the unique opportunity to further critically analyze and characterize public health problems. It will give me the advanced quantitative and analytical tools and conception understanding to prioritize emerging health issues to conduct independent research to facilitate health policy formulation.

I am a passionate, dedicated, and hardworking professional and possess good communication and teamwork skills. I am confident that my skills, epidemiology, and biostatistics background coupled with a vast public health experience in diverse settings will enable me to successfully complete my PhD studies at------ in Sweden.
