I just finished a covering letter for my phd application. and I wonder if anyone can do a bit proof reading for me. I am French speaker , so I am sure there will be some mistakes in the letter

Dear Selection Committee Members,

I am writing to express my great interest in applying for PhD studentship at the Doctoral School of Computer, communication and information sciences at the “Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne” in Switzerland.

I graduated from both an Engineer and a Master's degree in Computer science at the higher national school of computer science, Algeria at 2012 as valedictorian. My outstanding academic results and strong participation in extra-curricular activities have allowed me to obtain the PREDOC Scholarship for my Master’s studies at Joseph Fourier University (UJF) in Grenoble where I am currently conducting a “Research Master of Science in Informatics ", more precisely in Artificial intelligence tracks and I fully expect to complete my degree by June 2013.

My studies in artificial intelligence and in computer science before not only provide me strong background and research experience but also provide me broad view of artificial intelligence problems in various fields. It allowed me to define an area of my future research as well. I recognized that I want to pursuit a research career in machine learning and natural language processing.

I believe that pursuing a PhD at EPFL will allow me to collaborate in a very motivating environment with highly qualified scientists and to do my research totally in English.
