Cover letter for a PhD

Hello there
I am applying for some PhD position in different parts of Europe and I have written a cover letter to express my interest on them. Please, is there anyone here who can says if my letter is well written and there are no grammar mistakes?? Could somebody give your opinion about it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciate.

Dear Professor .....

With this letter, I would like to express my interest in the PhD projects 2 and 7 at the Centre for ... at ... University.
I have a degree in Marine Environmental Management (Country....) and last year I completed an MSc in .... (University of .... – ....). My studies gave me theoretical and practical basis to assess the impact of human activities on dynamics and processes of the coastal ecosystems in terms of loss of biodiversity, changes in inter-and intraspecific relationships, increasing of pollution, among others.
From the first years at university it was clear to me that pursuing a research-oriented career was my highest aspiration and I have been actively progress my technical skills, exploring a variety of methods in scientific research. At the start of my second degree I was awarded an ...... Scholarship that has enabled me to spend six month at ...... Throughout this period I have collaborated on a project which was focused around the effects of ........ After my return to .... I have put in practice the newly acquired knowledge and experience to develop my own project. The project was in line with the requirements of the European ..... Directive aiming at identifying the ways anthropogenic disturbances affect and alter the benthic community structure. For the purpose of better understand the underlying mechanisms that change the species composition in function of different stress typologies, I have thereafter moved to the ...... where some biological quality indices were developed in order to assess the ecological quality status of coastal waters.
The following year I started working on my Master thesis based on statistical analyses, aimed to assess how natural factors affect the distribution and abundance of indicator species, determining a wrong classification of ecological quality status. The outcomes of these three works were published and presented in various conferences.
My current goal is to put into practice my acquired skills in a project focused on a socio-economic analysis to evaluate the drivers behind previous, current and future patterns of resource use as well as evaluating the environmental impact of this use, in a different context respect to the Mediterranean one.
Regarding my personal skills.......
