As you will find in my cover letter, I am looking for a internship chances, cuz one of scholarship foundations in my country has promised that they will fully support internship programes, if I got a intership offer from international sport federations or associations.

I am writing to enquire about a possible internship opportunity at ITF. NEST FOUNDATION, which is a scholarship foundation for former athletes (http://www.nest.or.kr/eng/common/main.asp ) in South Korea, has announced that it will pay all the expenses during internship programs for former professional tennis players who receive an internship offer from an international sports federation like yours. Since ITF is such a prestigious tennis organisation, I am particularly interested in working for your company as an event organising assistant. As a student with double degrees in Business Administration and Sport, and who took Sport Business Management courses at Griffith University in Australia, along with outstanding experiences as a sport event coordinator, I assure you that I will be a significant asset to you.

My academic background, especially at Griffith University, has not only provided me with strong computer and event organizational skills, but also trained me as an effective communicator. In the classes ‘sports event management’ and ‘sports facility management’, we were asked to work in a group and organize hypothetical sports events and design sports facility development plans. Being responsible for financial matters, I used Microsoft Excel to conduct Feasibility Studies and consistently corresponded and communicated with team members and professors, contacting real-estate managers and industry insiders to receive practical feedback on our budget plan.

I also possess practical work experience outside of the classroom related to event planning. As a member of the organising committees of the Sport Festival of ----- United Universities and the ---- International Surfing Contest, I was in charge of securing sponsors, as well as recruiting, educating, and assigning volunteers and officials. However, my duties included all aspects of event management. I sent e-mails and business plans to promote our event to every participating university and the marketing departments of major energy drink and sports gear companies such as Nike Korea, Lipton, Mizuno, etc. We were sponsored by a majority of the universities that we contacted and Lipton, Outback, Vitro (a Korean tennis shoe manufacturer) and the ------- Council.
