Hi!

My is Jean i'm a french student looking for my first job. Here's an english cover letter I wrote for it (french company but HR in the USA). Could you please correct it, tell me what is correct but too much "foreigner's english" and what do you think abt it? Thx in advance?

I would like to express my interest in the position of “Software Engineer and Structural Mechanics Expert” as advertised of the website of xxxxxxx.fr the 10th september 2011. In fact my experience and education make me an ideal candidate for this job.

You specify you are looking for a developer which is also an expert in mechanical structures to overcome the very diverse technical challenges of your design software. I am a newly graduate in mechanical engineering with specialization in computational mechanics, which includes structural mechanics and finite elements analysis. I also developed skills in C programming in my Final Year project, where I wrote high-standard, low-level C code to optimize computer vision programs for specific target architecture.

Besides, I am fit to work in a small and innovative company. Last year I had the opportunity to intern in software startup where I worked as technical documentation writer in the research and development team. There I learned to be reactive in order to meet customers demand. This combined with my ability to learn was the key to my effectiveness and my ability to deliver the right product at the right time.
