Dear Ms/Mrs. xx:

I saw your posting on jobbank.gc.ca for the Help Desk Training Specialist position so I’m submitting my resume for review. I will meet the requirement for graduation this summer with a BSc in Computing Science Specialization degree from the University of Alberta. I also have a Bsc in Mathematical Sciences from the same institution. With my education, I am confident that I have the required analytical and problem solving skills that are crucial to this position.

Although I may not have the relevant work experience, I have been the computer person that all my family and friends turn to when they have computer related problems. I have been removing virus/spyware, reinstalling operating system, and diagnosing and troubleshooting many other software and hardware related problems on a regular basis ever since I got my first computer. Despite the fact that I have spent so many hours in front of a computer, I am still passionate about it. Every potential computer problem is a challenge and a source of knowledge, and I have never shied away from a challenge or from learning.

Despite of my shortcoming, I am hopeful that you will give me a chance. One thing about me is that when given an opportunity to do a job, I will do it to the best of my ability because I hate to disappoint. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.
