I am a polish citizen permanently living and working in United Kingdom for over five years.

I am writing to apply for the xxx in Occupational Therapy (pre registration mode, PgDip) at London xxx

I graduated in revalidation and rehabilitation pedagogy in June 2004 at xxx

My degree was a result of a personal interest I have in psychology and a curiosity with the psychological complex aspects of human functioning. During my studies I have been given an opportunity to cooperate within various placements, covering from palliative care through drug and alcohol prevention and therapy to rehabilitation and probation of young offenders.

My subsequent choices for employment in the UK have been due to the education and work experience achieved in Poland.

My professional background provides me in with various skills beneficiary to my academic work as well as my future career prospectus and development. Through working and academic experience I have learnt to take responsibility, to respond quickly and effectively to challenging situations, expectations and how to bring matters to positive solution.

I have been employed in a various roles within care sector. I was able to identify essential need in developing knowledge and better understanding of health care services.

Currently I am working within xxx Team, providing quality service which is responsive to individual needs of our patients, their families and the community in which they live.

Through a holistic and problem solving approach to assessment and treatment my role aim is to assess and tailor therapeutic person centred programme responding to individual’s changing needs. I am also involved in many various projects enabling patients to improve their life through promoting propose and meaning of activity in order to help them with all aspects of daily living.

Working within therapeutic environment contributed even further to my determination to continue learning.

I am confident that I will have the skills, knowledge and motivation which will enable me to pursue a future career as an occupational therapist possibly on an international level. I am seeking for a role of student, which will draw from my various experiences as well as give me a new challenge.
