Cover letter

Hello! I would be very gratefull if someone could take a look at this cover letter! Thanks in advance! Emotion: smile

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in response to your recent advertisement for an Associate Legal Officer found in your website. Confidently believing that I match the profile you are looking for, I would like to apply for this position.

During the recent years, I have been working as a lawyer, as a criminal law teacher at the university, as a judicial secretary and at the moment I am working as an appellate judge at the Court of appeal of Castilla y León.

The Associate Legal Officer should be specialized in criminal law and be able to prepare legal opinions for internal discussion. During the last nine years I have mainly worked in the field of Criminal Law and Comparative Law, therefore, I wrote my PhD dissertation on these subjects. I have a stable experience in legal research methods, analysis and writing. I am also familiarized with different law systems. I have won five research awards which demonstrated my excellence in these mentioned fields. I can communicate and work comfortably in Spanish, English, French and German. I have familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet research as well as with HTML and electronic document management an asset.

As well as having relevant knowledge and experience, I believe I possess the personal qualities you ask for in your advertisement. I am thorough, results-oriented and able to work under pressure. Therefore, I consider myself to be well suited for this position.

I am very interested in this position, and I am confident of my ability to make a long-term contribution. I look forward to hearing from you about meeting for an interview at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Hi Clive!

I have to fill up the CV in the web page of the enterprise but first of all I have to write a kind of a cover letter. They call it "cover note" and they say exactly: "Describe how your experience, qualifications and competencies match the position for which you are applying". After the cover note I fill up the fields and click on "send". That is all.

Thank you f
