Letter Writing

cover email for application

Hi.

I am currently writing a cover email for an application.

My current email is:

Dear Sirs,
I am applying for the position of xyz.
I am herewith submitting my curriculum vitae and cover letter under attachment for your perusal.

Yours fathfully,
me

Things I don't like: I am ... twice.
Could you help me getting rid of one?

Second: Is "Dear Sirs," appropriate or "Dear Sir or Madam"?

Third: "Yours faithfully," or "Best regards"?

Thanks
