Court? Field?

Hi everyone,

I have a doubt.

I know we say tennis court.

Someone wrote"There is a special court of each of the sports (football, rugby and handball). They are huge and beautiful..."

Do other sports also call it court? When do we use "field"?

Thank you very much.

'Court' is the wrong word for all those sports-- and they are not all 'huge'--, but it is difficult to find a single word that applies to all. Perhaps: There is a special arena / playing field for each of the sports (football, rugby and handball).
