course books (from 12 yrs on)

Hello all,

I´m new in this forum and I´d like some advice from you all, especially the ones who are in charge of teaching English as a second language and use course books.

I´d like to find a course book (from beginner/elementary to pre-intermediate/intermediate), but I´m in a mess. I´ve been having a look at differents publishing houses such as Oxford, Cambridge or Longman, but in their webs there are very few samples. From the ones I´ve seen something are English File and Headway (Oxford), and they seem pretty good to me.

If you know these materials, or you´re using one you think it´s useful, please let me know.

I´d like to know your comments or suggestions on this matter.

Cheers,

Magg

Hi Magg. I usually work with Longman books, but I've had a chance to look at some of the Oxford ones and I think they're pretty good, especially the Headway or New Headway line. I don't like that much English File, but that's just my personal opinion.

  • You can have a look on their websites or send them an email.
  • Perhaps they can send you a sample.
