Couple of weeks

I'm staying here for a couple weeks. Or

I'm staying here a couple weeks.

Do I have to include the for? What would a native say?

Thanks!

Both are ok. But because of its future meaning, I would use " I will be staying here ....."

Hi,

Present Continuous is very natural when talking about future arrangements that have already been made, or decisions that have already been taken.
eg I'm visiting China next year. Sounds like I already bought a plane ticket, booked a hotel, etc
