Couple of questions

Hi,

A couple of questions:

1) The three men are sitting in some restaurant, they are drinking and one of them is offering
a job for the other two. After some discussion, one man is standing up and going out, saying:

"I need to use the necessities."
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

2) "Samurai are paradoxical. I've tried to write
about them, but they keep to themselves."

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

3)"When the Irish were comporting
themselves in loincloths...

...these chaps were the most
sophisticated warriors on Earth."

Thanks
