Vocabulary

counterindications VS contraindications

Hi,

If you could comment on these (medical) terms?

On one hand, none of the major online dictionaries (of those available from "OneLook Dictionary") has an entry named "counterindication".
On the other hand, I have seen "counterindication(s)" on some US and UK websites (Google search hits)...

Thank you!

As far as I know, contra- is the only accepted form. However, there's no difference between counter- and contra - in meaning, so it's not like it would be a cardinal sin to use counter -.
